How to make a Windmill to turn on a fan?
I need a windmill that produces energy so that it can turn on a fan and make a cycle ( fan gives energy to windmill, windmill gives energy to fan)
any suggestions?

What you are looking for is perpetual motion. So far nobody has figured out how to get more energy from something than you put in.
With your windmill if it had 6 foot diameter blades and enough air blew thru the area swept by the 6ft diameter blades, it would make enough power to power a fan with about 2 foot diameter blades.
And that 2 foot diameter blade wouldn’t make enough air current to fill the area that the 6 ft windmill needs to turn and make enough energy to power that 2 ft fan. So slowly it would come to a stop because the windmill would turn slower and slower because the fan would go slower and slower , so it would cycle down in energy, not cycle up

Smallest windmill I know of produces 1000 watts. That is certainly enough to run a 3 watt light.

David Cammeron with his cycle to work,windmills on his house and i know let tax the hard working people of Britain more, when they go by plane on holiday abroad

Gordon Brown with his non standby switches on electrical items (tvs etc),low watt light bulbs, and better insulation of houses etc, and getting other countries to become more enviromental friendly?

Neither of them. Brown, Cameron and their respective parties play at being green in order to attract so called “floating voters”. If they were serious, they would have to allocate a lot more money to genuinely radical projects, like research to develop stable nuclear fusion (practically unlimited cheap energy with no waste products except water and helium). Problem is it would cost them too much money to develop and build the power stations, and they see that as a vote loser, although it would benefit everyone in the long run.

should i jump on the “green bandwagon” worrying about DISTANT futures when the NOW is HERE?
if we believed and were shown facts from the experts. which ones are right? Do you follow the ” the ice is melting – the global warming phenonom has risen substantially over recent history- greenhouse gasses killing humankind – tsunamis- volcano eruption- floods-famine- etc” the list goes on and is added too as and when appropiate. These nuggets of information are relayed to us by “Experts in the scientific field/ or anyone linking themselves to media. Of course this must be true then.!

inverters wind alternative energy?
I have a small windmill with 3 deep cycle batterys a 800 watt inverter I put in 6 – 23 watt COMPACT FLUORESCENT BULBS my inverter will not start them sometimes do I need a starter or is there sothing else I can do? thanks

Switch to LED lighting, no need for an inverter.
Short of that:
One problem you likely have is the inverter you are using is a modified sine wave output. The way CFLs operate, that modified sine is not fully compatible. Most often not. It has to do with the waveform of the incoming power. You likely can light an old style flourescent fixture with old magnetic start ballast.
Since the inverter is looking for resistive loads to stay latched on you might try adding one more light fixture with a 40 watt bulb to see if the others will now light.
Something you might also try that should make the CFLs start is take an old microwave oven transformer using the heavy windings only- put that in series with one leg of the inverter output. If that triggers them on, chisel off the fine wire windings as you will not need them. If you measure voltage with that choke in series, you will see a lower output because it is filtering out the RF component of the modified sine wave. Depending on who made the ballast controller chip, one of the manufacturers can operate as low as 30 volts input.
