Do you live near the Ohio river and have a heat pump?
How much energy and/or money does it seem to save? What problems do you have with it?

I live in Dayton.
I have an oversized heat pump. That is a 3 ton system was in here and it was sized for AC. The new system is a 5 ton 2 speed compressory type ( actually a 2.5 T and a 5 T speed 1 to 2).
What this does is allow me to run the heat pump on cold days when otherwise a smaller pump wouldnt keep up and not go on Aux costly heat source.
On saving, Given a 50 F day its $1 cost for $3.25 received equivalent in heat. Shrinks down as temp drops. So I save a bundle on heating. My aux. Is natural Gas which is expensive a heck nowdays.
So its a good deal. But be sure to get an oversized unit or its a waste.

I take it that you are planning to leave him outside in the hamper? What kind of lid are you going to use to be sure he does not get out and nothing gets to him. With the dairy’s installing methane digest-er’s is a first step due to the large number of dairy’s. The next step would to have these same digest-ers installed into the feedlots where all beef goes to before the slaughter house.
I have worked a couple feed lots, and unless your next to the grain storage, whew that is a funk. I think this is a good step in helping lower the methane, being that methane is one of the major green house gasses believe it or not.
This could be a great step forward, although a long and difficult process. But is there anything worth while that doesn’t take long. On thing people tend to forget, ranchers and farmers are bigger environmentalist than those people who protest. A rancher/farmer is worried about weather, soil conditions etc. When your livelihood comes from the land you care for the land.

a few questions about college?
1.) would colleges rather see a B in an honors class or an A in a regular class?
2.) to be a Nurse Practitioner is that 6 years of college?
3.) Is Miami University (in ohio) a good school?
4.) how important are extracurriculars? I really want to major in nursing and go into midwifery but none of my extra curriculars go along with that major.
I am in two orchestras outside of school and do a lot of community preformances to benefit the fine arts
I am in school clubs such as PAW (protecting animal wildlife) SADD (students against destructive decisions)
I am also involved in a project to build a solar panel to help save energy for the city’s middle school.. this involves presenting the ideas to the school board.
5.) and the most embarassing question..
When i was in an interview for a summer internship at a hospital, they asked me questions about why i wanted to go into this profession… so i started crying (out of happiness.. not bawling my eyes out lol) when i was talking about how happy it would make me to save a life, or how amazed i was when wittnessing a birth.

2)It’s at least 6 years. I think it’s 2+4.
3)I guess it’s OK. I really don’t know. If you look at the SOURCE below, it lists the best nursing colleges in the nation. I also gave you a list of nursing schools in Ohio. If you’re planning on going into nursing, it would be best if you only enrolled in schools that offer it.If you’re looking for top schools, I’d recommend case, Oh. St., Cincinnati, or Toledo. If you’re looking for a less competitive school, try Akron, Cleveland State, Kent, or YSU. If you’re taking honors classes, then I would suggest one of the better schools. Their prices are low for in-state residents.
4) Extremely important! Sports, student clubs, and community service are necessities. I would make sure that I had student organizations and a lot of community service on my list. It’s what sets you apart from the rest and catches the admissions people’s eyes.
5) I’m not really sure. If they saw it as pure emotion and not just an act, then they might be able to know you would be dedicated to your job. It could be either great or disastrous. They could also see it as how you would react under pressure. Next time, just tell them things other than you want to save people. Tell them about yourself and that you have dreamed about becoming a nurse from when you were young. It’s your call, but that’s what I think. Do whatever you want, but don’t cry next time. It’s too risky, even if it was true emotion.

Who do I contact for complaints about highway lights being off when it’s dark out?
For the past few weeks, there’s a stretch of highway that I take to get to work when it’s dark at 6am and the street lights are off. I can’t see very well. I mean, I have headlights but it’s still very dark. Who do I complain to? If it’s to save energy, I understand but maybe it’s because no one has reported it. I live in Ohio if that helps. Thanks!
I’ve driven in the country before and it’s fine not having street lights because there’s not a lot fo traffic. On the highway I drive, there’s a lot of traffic. I can drive just fine without the lights but I’d rather have them on.

First get your eyes checked! If you’re having problems seeing that’s NOT the city’s fault. The city is NOT obligated to put street lights everywhere… Lots of areas of the country don’t have street lights – so you’re at a standoff here…
Second, get your headlights checked out. They could be out of alignment (which really can effect how well you’re seeing) or perhaps even a bulb is out. Also the covers on the headlights can get a glaze to them if you have an older car, you can replace the headlight covers with new ones if this is the case. The glaze minimizes how brightly your headlights shine…
Some people suffer from night blindness… If you’re one of these people just don’t drive at night…

I honestly don’t see how the Republicans are not quick to migrate to a leader who will actually: glue foreign relations, end foreign dependency on oil, push alternative energy plans, talk to countries before fighting them (could save lives you know) (does it hurt to do so?) will keep jobs in America. Is it any wonder that when Clinton left office after 8 years that we were a country that was: good in foreign relations, financially rocking the house? Many people that vote Republican don’t understand that the more the middle class and lower class make and spend, the stronger the economy. This is because they make up a very very large part of the country. Now if you are one of the top 3% wealthyiest in America, it might not help you as much by voting Democratic. But if you are in the top 3%, do you really NEED help? Shouldn’t the bottome 97% reflect the majority? How can this even be close? If you are not very wealthy then Bush has not and McCain will not lower your taxes. Shouldn’t the ones that acutually need the money (as you can see our economy going to crap) get the TAX BREAK? If McCain votes inagreementt with Bush 90% of the time then you are basically continuing the currentt term. Based on the numbers below, that is not what about 70% of America wants.
