Where can I find a grant to assist with the instillation of solar or windmill energy?
I want to open a facility , but I want to use solar or will mind energy. Are there any grants available to assist or offset the cost? If so, who and where can I look?
admin answers:
Check the database of state incentives for renewables and efficiency at http://dsireusa.org/ There is info here for incentives at the local, state and federal level. I have also been looking for grants, but have found that most of the incentives and/or grants are for businesses and we do not qualify. I would be happy to email to you all the website urls that I have, please email me if you want those.

Donna asks…
why would a new energy making windmill be turning with no wind?
Local energy company in maple grove, mn has a windmill that produces electricity. Last night I noticed driving by that it was turning with good force like it was really windy, but there was no wind.
admin answers:
My best guess would be that while maintenance was being undertaken, perhaps checking bearings and gearing, the windmill was being back fed from the grid to enable the investigation under controlled conditions

Sandy asks…
I have some land in Kern County and how do i sale it to Windmill or wind energy companies?
So I have like 20 acres of land in Kern County. Where do I start if I want to sell some land to developers or windmill manufacturers. The reason is because there is a market of wind energy up there.
Are there certain companies interested in buying this land? Would it be developers, manufacturerss, operators or owners or windmill or windturbin ?
How do I get a list or where can I start. Anyone have any advice?
admin answers:
The easiest way is to contact a real estate broker. You will have to go through one to sell it, you might as well have them do this legwork for you. They will know if any companies are looking around for land.
