David Your Questions About Windmills Of Your Mind

David asks…

How do you keep the windmills of your mind in motion?

admin answers:

I listen to a fair number of lectures on the University of Washington channels on our local cable system (if I can’t go in person). Might not be everybody’s cup of tea, but I learn some good stuff. I’m going to the Mini Medical School lectures starting February 1 icon smile Your Questions About Windmills Of Your Mind

Are the windmills of your mind drowning out your thoughts?

admin answers:

No. It’s the wind blowing thru one ear and out the other. It really sucks.

admin answers:

I believe it describes it perfectly, especially here:

“Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever spinning wheel
As the images unwind
Like the circle that you find
In the windmills of your mind”

Often, unexpressed thoughts tumble over each other, are non-sensical, can be moved into unimagined directions by the simplest little things. You can build entire fantasies in your mind and sustain them.

It’s impossible to know exactly why someone’s opinions are the way they are unless you actually are that person. It’s hard for me to describe..

The mind is definitely complex, to the point of absurdity to a casual observer. I think Windmills Of Your Mind captures that perfectly.
