Ruth Your Questions About Save Energy At Home

Ruth asks…

what is the best way to save energy at home..?

Do you save more having you air con. on all the time at just one setting or turning it off when your not home and turning it on when you get home everyday?

admin answers:

The easiest way to save energy is by not using it.

It sounds daft but if you don’t turn something on then you are not wasting any at all.

Do this by Getting up early in summer using the most of the cooler daylight hours.
Insulate ready for winter.

Susan Your Questions About Save Energy At Home

Susan asks…

How to save energy at home?

Ok I’m a renter, buying is not an option at the moment, that being said I need to save money on my gas and electric. The insulation in the house is poor so heat and air just seem to seep through the walls. What can we do, without investing too much money in somebody else’s house? The house is small and the gas and electric are about 200 a month. I do turn off lights and wash in cold water and try not to use air unless it’s swealtering. Suggestions?
