Ruth Your Questions About Save Energy Ohio

Ruth asks…

I’m only 32 years old and have had over 70 jobs in my life?

I can’t keep a job to save my life. I’ve been married for 1 year and in that one year my wife has seen me with 4-5 jobs. I’ve never had 1 job for more than a year. I’m usually on time and get along well with coworkers. 2 jobs ago I was a truck driver. I ended up running over a fire hydrant and blowing up the truck engine causing $34,000 worth of damage. I was fine and my boss’s liked me until some freak thing always happens. It feels like God doesn’t want me to be an adult because I always end up falling on my ass and going back to my parents and I’m 32. One time back in 2003 moved to Ohio and coundn’t find a job at all in 4 months, ended up living in my car in the wintertime. I went back to my parents and got my old job back the very same day I arrived. What is it that I’m doing wrong and don’t give me advice that you saw on the secret about negative energy attracts negative energy because I don’t have negative energy just bad luck.

Well let’s see, the only thing all those jobs have in common is you. So, maybe its a supernatural explanation like ‘negative energy’ or ‘bad luck’ that is attached to you, or maybe its something else about you. Let’s assume you’ve had some bad luck here and there (who doesn’t?), but otherwise there is no ‘cosmic’ causation.

That leaves something you are doing, some behavior, that leads to job loss, and that the behavior reflects an underlying attitude. I’d guess its not God that doesn’t want you to grow up, its you who doesn’t want to grow, and having a permanent job represents adulthood. So, you self-sabotage your way out of jobs, and also looks for jobs you can escape easily. In short, you take jobs where you have an out, or you create an ‘out’ to get out of the job.

So, that sounds judgmental, but really I understand it – jobs can really suck! There is lots of stress, often for little money, and no fun. Its not at all like being a kid, and its just so dang dreary. Escaping a job means escaping that stress.

Perhaps you can focus on finding jobs that you will like, and picking a long-term goal, like buying a camper just in case you end up having to sleep in your vehicle again. Also, try finding a job that isn’t so structured and 9-5ish, so that you have some times away from boring routines. And hey, if you really believe its God or bad luck keeping you down, then go talk to a minister and buy a rabbit’s foot . . . Whatever gets you through the day.

How do you like this?

GE is seen as a green energy company and embraced by liberals.
GE also paid no taxes because of their green energy investment.
Oh and they are closing plants in the US and moving the plants to china.

Last month, GE announced it will close the Winchester Bulb Plant 80 miles west of D.C. As a result, 200 men and women will lose their jobs. GE is also shuttering incandescent factories in Ohio and Kentucky, axing another 200 jobs.

So, GE gets environmentalist brownie points for selling “clean” light bulbs, and they also get to charge more for their bulbs. But there’s another advantage—they save on labor with fluorescents, because they make the fluorescents in China.

Not only are wages lower there, but so are the regulatory burdens, both environmental and labor. The Times of London recently reported, “Large numbers of Chinese workers have been poisoned by mercury, which forms part of the compact fluorescent lightbulbs.”

Not only did GE invest in geen tech they figured out how to sell it by having it mandated.

Beren said, “I do not personally know any liberal that “embraces” GE.” I guess he may be technically correct, since he doesn’t personally know Obama, but we ALL know that Obama has embraced GE BIG time, and they have embraced him.
