Mary asks…
What was Eminem talking about in the song “like a toy Soldier”!?
Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down…
[Chorus]
Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down like toy soldiers
Bit by bit, torn apart, we never win
But the battle wages on for toy soldiers
[Verse 1]
I’m supposed to be the soldier who never blows his composure
Even though I hold the weight of the whole world on my shoulders
I am never supposed to show it, my crew ain’t supposed to know it
Even if it means goin’ toe to toe with a Benzino it don’t matter
I’d never drag them in battles that I can’t handle unless
I absolutely have to
I’m supposed to set an example
I need to be the leader, my crew looks for me to guide ‘em
If some shit ever just pop off, I’m supposed to be beside ‘em
Now the Ja shit i tried to squash it, it was too late to stop it
There’s a certain line you just don’t cross and he crossed it
I heard him say Hailie’s name on a song and I just lost it
It was crazy, this shit way beyond some Jay-z and Nas shit
And even though the battle was won, I feel like we lost it
I spent too much energy on it, honestly I’m exhausted
And I’m so caught in it I almost feel I’m the one who caused it
This ain’t what I’m in hip-hop for, it’s not why I got in it
That was never my object for someone to get killed
Why would I wanna destroy something I helped build
It wasn’t my intentions, my intentions was good
I went through my whole career without ever mentionin’ …
Now it’s just out of respect for not runnin’ my mouth
And talkin’ about something that I knew nothing about
Plus Dre told me stay out, this just wasn’t my beef
So I did, I just fell back, watched and gritted my teeth
While he’s all over t.v. down talkin’ a man who literally saved my life
Like fuck it i understand this is business
And this shit just isn’t none of my business
But still knowin’ this shit could pop off at any minute cuz
[Chorus]
Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down like toy soldiers
Bit by bit, torn apart, we never win
But the battle wages on for toy soldiers
[Verse 2]
There used to be a time when you could just say a rhyme
And wouldn’t have to worry about one of your people dyin’
But now it’s elevated cuz once you put someone’s kids in it
The shit gets escalated, it ain’t just words no more is it?
It’s a different ball game, callin’ names and you ain’t just rappin’
We actually tried to stop the 50 and Ja beef from happenin’
Me and Dre had sat with him, kicked it and had a chat with him
And asked him not to start it he wasn’t gonna go after him
Until Ja started yappin’ in magazines how he stabbed him
Fuck it 50 smash ‘em, mash ‘em and let him have it
Meanwhile my attention is pullin’ in other directions
Some receptionist at The Source who answers phones at his desk
Has an obsession for me and thinks that I’ll be his ressurection
Tries to blow the dust off his mic and make a new record
But now he’s fucked the game up cuz one of the ways I came up
Was through that publication the same one that made me famous
Now the owner of it has got a grudge against me for nothin’
Well fuck it, that motherfucker can get it too, fuck him then
But I’m so busy being pissed off I don’t stop to think
That we just inherited 50′s beef with Murder Inc.
And he’s inherited mine which is fine ain’t like either of us mind
We still have soldiers that’s on the front line
That’s willing to die for us as soon as we give the orders
Never to extort us, strictly to show they support us
We’ll maybe shout ‘em out in a rap or up in a chorus
To show them we love ‘em back and let ‘em know how important it is
To have Runion Avenue Soldiers up in our corners
Their loyalty to us is worth more than any award is
But I ain’t tryna have none of my people hurt and murdered
It ain’t worth it I can’t think of a perfecter way to word it
Then to just say that I love ya’ll too much to see the virdict
I’ll walk away from it all before I let it go any further
But don’t get it twisted, it’s not a plea that I’m coppin’
I’m just willin’ to be the bigger man
If ya’ll can quit poppin’ off at your jaws well then I can,
Cuz frankly I’m sick of talkin’
I’m not gonna let someone elses coffin rest on my conscience cuz

G’day D Wade,
Thank you for your question.
It was about various disputes that Eminem has had. According to Wikipedia “He speaks openly about problems with The Source magazine and its editor Benzino, as well as Murder Inc. Records, and explains the feud between Ja Rule and 50 Cent, which Eminem felt went far beyond the Jay-Z vs. Nas feud. Eminem talks about beef of Beans, Chamillionaire and Paul Wall. Actor/rapper Nathan Kress appears as a cameo rapping on the microphone in Quad Studios, New York City. The song finishes as Eminem offers a truce to his enemies.”
The video recorded shortly before Proof’s death showed Proof being killed.

@The Evil Genius
You posted lyrics too. So don’t say mine weren’t neccesary, if you posted lyrics too. I could easily just go to Youtube and look up Rock Bottom, and see for myself. And actually there are tons of people I have met that have never heard of Like Toy Soldiers, so just post up a song that is serious, by Eminem, no need to add any smart remarks. Thank you!
@The Notorious C.W.H, I forgot all about Stan, I tried to forget about that song because it kind of scared me, and it was WAY to depressing lol.

Paul asks…
If you could make any movie, why would it be about?
Also, would you make 2 sequels if you could? I would make three action/drama movies, satirising society, government and possibly religion. The antagonist of the first film would be a crazy man who believes human spirit and emotion are worthless and delusional (which um, from a point of view is true) and that all emotions are corrupt and evil, and all bonds must be broken to perfect the world- so only a world where time flows and space grows- no ‘spirit’. Basically he hates humanity, and manipulates people, schemes and devised many other evil plots to control the world’s energy, deceive people.. And basically ‘restart’ everything and carve it his own way. He’s a selfish man who was not raised properly, and sees justice specially. He does not feel most emotions.
It would be quite a dramatic story.
When the man’s outrageous plan goes wrong, and is foiled, and f’s up the world more than it is, he just ‘disappears’. The problems are fixed, and no word is spoken of him.
The second movie explores more moral and emotional factors. An animal saving organisation go to extremes with protecting animals, and deceive their own race. They worship animals and want them to rule the lands, and for humans to die out. Pretty crazy! Their leader, though, secretly plans to actually kill off all the animals himself, so there’s no life on the world and he is one of the only people left, so he can do all kinds of things with the power he has. All his men are doing him ‘false justice’. In the end, the plan only half-works out. The organisation realises their leader was deceiving them and uses the abundance of animals they have to try and kill him. They are all caught and arrested at the end. The evil leader escaped and is on the run, with nothing left.
In the third movie, the first movie’s antagonist returns, this time he gains control over the media and creates fake controversy to distract the world, and authorities, as he plans other evil attacks. He uses the previous movie’s antagonist motives, using the group’s reputation again as another clever diversion for the world. They all believe they’ve returned, but worse.
Meanwhile, as they’re all getting it wrong, the antagonist attempts again what he failed at in the 1st movie, and comes a bit closer. He realises he’s made an error in his plans, though- there’s been a ‘hole’ and he can now be stopped. He moves fast, and just steals some bombs and goes ape-s.h!t insane. He ends up being eaten by a distressed animal that was experimented on from the previous movie. He uses ‘any living being’ purely for ‘power’. No pleasure intended.
The villain dies about three quarters through the movie- the remainder is filled with flashbacks, investigating his legacy- piecing together all the answers. So it may appear he’s not even died, as he gets a lot more screen time (not as much as some of protagonists, though).
Eventually it all concludes to a peaceful credits. ![]()
So yeah.

Let me preface this by saying that I am not religious. I do, however, find religion to be an interesting subject.
I would make an “end of days” type of film which focuses mostly on the present day, while also periodically flashes back to “pre old testament” times. The film would simultaneously try to appease the devout christian, while also callling into question the majority of christian beliefs. The film would address the following issues:
1) If it is always the victors of war who have the privilege of writing the history books, then how do we know if the bible isn’t just another example of war propaganda resulting from the strife on the ethereal planes of existence in which some of the angels fell and became demons?
2) How do we know that our perceptions of what is good and what is evil are correct?
3) The bible says, in so many words, not to be deceived by evil. How do we know that in itself is not the deception to keep us off the right path?
4) Could it be that if we knew the entire truth that humans would regard both angel and demon as evil?
Being an end of days film, it should probably be an action film, too. I envision it being a hybrid genre of action with science fiction elements. Maybe worldly armys fighting non-worldly armys. There is enough potential in this to build an action film around the controversial religious framework I do believe.
If you look at what people are talking about today, you’ll notice many are concerned about the world coming to an end in 2012. It is something at the forefront of human thought right now, thus, a movie of this type would likely peak the interest of a great many people as a result. The timing is right.
I know it’s not a complete movie idea. The rest of it is in my head. I just don’t have the time to type it ALL out right now.

Donna asks…
What would happen if we kept american dollars here in USA as much as possilble as a policy priority?
like for example:
Find and energy policy that points all those petro dollars leaving the USA back into our own economy for various new technologies etc..???? Imagine no longer sending money to saudi arabia or any of those other petro dicttatorships who then send some of that money to terrorists.
What if Illegal aliens who come into the USA take jobs and depress wages and then take a good chunk of what they earn and send it out of the country to their poverty economies back home? Do you realize there is at least one country to the south of the USA whose economy would come to a grinding stop if illegals’ earnings stopped being sent back to fuel that economy?
and what about all those dollars leaving the USA to enrich china..and all that manufacturing that is done there now..and all those jobs that used to be done in the USA that are now in china? imagine having all of that back or at least stopping the bleeding and that aburd slit our own throats trend.
What about all that interest we pay to foreign countries…what if we stopped spending more than we take in via taxes and actually had a fiscally responsible budget? All those dollars we now pay to foreign countries could also be free to be used here in the USA ..maybe to create more jobs and rebuild infrastructure or save social security.
What about all that money being wasted in Iraq? 10billion dollars a month…with no end in sight. Even the candidate talking about pulling out of iraq is talking about staying there another 18 months minimum after he takes office. Those dollars are also being sucked away from the USA.
Everywhere I turn, what I see is one thing…..one trend…and its not good…our economy is being fleeced of the very dollars that it needs to be proppelled…like others from the outside with the help of our elected leaders are sucking those dollars out with big vaccuum cleaners!!!
admin answers:
It’s a global economy, dear.
Where do you think the money is going in Iraq? It’s going to our troops, to defense contractors, to equipment companies, to civilian contractors, who are US citizens. Some of it is being spent there, but again, a lot of it is for equipment and training that involves US citizens, US companies, and US paychecks.
China is not going to be the el-cheapo solution to manufacturing that it is now, for long. Just look at the melamine problem. China is now having to fix problems that they were fully aware already existed: Their environment is being destroyed, their cut-rate products are garbage, and the world is figuring it out so they have to do something. Now they have to start regulating. And regulation, my dear, costs money. Lots, and lots of money.
Just wait until Chinese workers try to unite, which they will. The government will probably squash that, but let’s see where that one goes. Bye-bye cheap labor.
Wait until people die by the thousands because of their awful air quality, or because of contaminated water supplies, resulting from under regulation.
Next stop will be whatever other steaming pile of a third world country is ready to sacrifice it’s environment and natural resources to get some foreign investment. It’s called history, dear… And it always repeats itself. India already has found out a lot of these things. India is no longer as cheap. Americans hate having to talk to Indian call centers because the Indian reps–culturally–are unable to listen to people, they just bark orders and don’t help. So people avoid doing business with companies that force them to talk to someone who isn’t listening.
So yes, things are always cheap and easy for a while. If people could consider buying inside the United States on an individual basis, we’d be much better off. But you know how that goes, dear.
“Someone else can do it”.
Therein, lies the problem.
