Is Google Moonlight authentic, and worth using?
I got a mail from a friend of mine requesting me to use Google moonlight, as he says it saves energy or something. Does it really work?

Google Moonlight saves energy on most LCD & CRT systems, as the screen is predominantly black. “Image displayed is primarily a function of the user’s color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen.”
A blog post titled Black Google Would Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year proposed the theory that a black version of the Google search engine would save a fair bit of energy due to the popularity of the search engine.
I personally believe that there is value in the concept because even if the energy savings are small, they all add up. Secondly whenever we see Google Moonlight, we are reminded to save Energy in what ever we do, in our Day to Day life.

How many people use blackle.com instead of google.com?
Just wondering how many people use blackle instead of google because blackle is a search engine powered by google so its just as good but its better because it saves energy.

I really don’t use it. I care much more for ensuring the health of my vision — and black strains my eye so much — than supposedly conserving energy
Plus it is a custom search from Google — which means they simply configured Google to show results from sites they want to include in the search. I prefer searching anywhere and everywhere that might give me the answers I need

The alltimesearch.com is a extremely fast search engine faster than google. Perhaps because not so many people use it since they don’t know it.
